Dear School Families,
As you know, we try very hard to keep a Catholic school education at St. Francis de Sales - St. Stephen School affordable for our families. We have one of the lowest tuition rates in the Diocese of Rochester. Through our Ambassador Program, we offer a $500. discount to families who refer new students to the school and to the families being referred. More than 35% of our families receive financial aid toward tuition. Approximately 90% pay a reduced parishioner parish rate because Our Lady of Peace and other local Catholic parishes with students in attendance pay our school a subsidy. Those families know they are receiving assistance, but in truth, nearly EVERY FAMILY in our school receives financial assistance. The full cost of educating one child here at SF-SSS is over $7100. Our non-parishioner rate for one child is $5600., and our (subsidized) full tuition rate for parishioner families is $3700. The rest of the costs are met through our fundraising efforts.
We have a very dedicated core group of parents and grandparents who SHOW UP every time the call goes out. These people work tirelessly to make a Catholic school education possible for their children AND YOURS!
We need your help, too! We had several students graduate in the past several years whose parents have been very active in volunteerism for our school. We need other parents to step in to these roles. In addition to participating in our sales fundraisers, please remember to volunteer on one or more of the following committees or groups:
Athletic Co-Director Coach (basketball, soccer, baseball, softball, cheer squad) Concession Stand
Marketing Committee Lunch Room Volunteer Scholastic Book Fair
Fundraising - Major Donor Development Mardi Gras Committee Walk-a-Thon
Frank Cecere Memorial Golf Tournament Family Fun Festival Committee Read-a-Thon
Web Site and Social Media Parent Teacher Organization Room Parents
Field Trip Driver/Chaperone Press Liaison Santa's Secret Shop Staff
Driver/Chaperone for Community Lunch Program
Please think about your talents and our school's needs and find a way to get involved.
Thank you, and may God bless you!
Mar. Mary C. Mantelli, Principal
