Our Admission Process

We do have an admissions process for new students and their families. The process includes a meeting with the principal in person or as part of our virtual information session. This meeting is to get to know each other and be able to answer any questions parents have about our school.

Students entering Kindergarten to grade 6 will go through a screening process. The screening is to see what skills and knowledge the student is able to demonstrate to help us plan any supports needed to help the student be successful.

We encourage all students entering grades 1 -6 to participate in a shadow day is for students to join their cohort class from 8 am to 11 am. They get to know the school and the teachers. Teachers will be able to conduct the screening during this time.

Shadowing and touring helps both the school and families determine if our school is a good fit.

If you are interested in setting up a tour of our school, parent meeting, or a shadow day, please reach out to us at 315-789-1828 ext. 3 or email suzanne.pohorence@dor.org
